MUSICAL AFTERNOON. < A delightful musical programme, arranged liv Mrs. .T. IT. Watlicw. was enjoyed by a lar<rc attendance at, th«weekly social afternoon of tlie Overseas League held in the club roms yesterday. Among the items •presented were sonjjs l>v Mrs. Wallace Hood. Miss Svbil Philli ps. and Mr. Oordon Faaan; charafter sketches l>y Miss Anita Webster: pianoforte solos by Mrs. Sholto Smith and violin solos hv Miss /eta Austin. Mi ss Anita Webster presided and presented the performers with sprays of flowers. Mrs. Sholto Smith made an efficient accompanist. The hostesses wore Mrs. F. Foster and Miss K. Holben. Afternoon tea was served by the house committee, represented hv Miss Amv Sutton and Miss K. McDonald.
