ACCEPTANCE OPPOSED.
HAWKS'* SAT DOCTOCRi. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) HASTINGS, this day. A meeting at the Napier Public Hospital of the Hawke's Bay Division of the British Medical Association resolved: "That this meeting is of the opinion that medical practitioner* should refrain from accepting contracts to supply matcrnitv benefit* jjntil the term* of the other social security benefits under Part 3 of the Act, especially the general practitioner and hospital benefits, have been published and found acceptable." The resolution added that: "Apart from other objections, the prosent regulation* are not in the best interests of the patient*i tending as they do to discourage the practitioner from obtaining d second medical man to assist or to give an anaesthctie."
