CONTROL BOARD.
ILLNESS AFFECTS TEAMS. JUNIORS UNDER WAY ON* SATURDAY. The Auckland Rugby League Control Board met last evening, when it was announced that the junior grade competitions would start this week-end. Arising from a reference to the default of Papakura reserve team on Saturday, it was explained by Mr. Wilkie that the club had suffered seriously from influenza. The chairman, Mr. G. Grey Campbell, said that most of the senior teams discovered that they were short of player#— some at the last moment. Registrations.—J. E. Gallagher (Marint Old Boys), W. Purves (Richmond Rovers), W. H. Smith (City Rovers). Transfers.—T. Yates (Mount Albert) and D. Williams (Richmond) to Ponsonby. Reinstatement and Re-grade.—R. Dawson, ex-City Rovers, to senior B, the junior board to deal with the application for further regrade.
