INCREASE BENEFITS. EXPANDING PRODUCTION. MR. SAVAGE AT FACTORY. Hon. M. J. Savage, when he addressed to-day the assembled employees of Bycroft, Limited, flourmillers and biscuit manufacturers, after inspecting the company's factory. "You, too, must be in a position to eat those biscuits," Mr. Savage said. "It is the people who are engaged in industry, when it comes to a final showdown, who must be responsible for consumption as well as for production," At the opening of his remarks, the Prime Minister congratulated the directors, employees and all others associated with the factory on the work they were lining. He emphasised the immense importance of production in the structure of a nation.

"Speaking as a representative of the Government and of the people, I want to say that when you in industry cease to function, I die as a political force," he said. "Every time you ease up.
