JEWS ON STRIKE. Protest Against Immigration Restrictions. PALESTINE DISTURBANCES. United Press Association.— Copyright. (Received 10 a.m.) HAIFA, April 23. A Jewish strike has been proclaimed as a protest against the refusal to allow 400 Jewish refugees to land from two Greek vessels. A disturbance occurred in a. Jewish suburb, Jews booing and stoninjr British police who were attempting to break up processions. Many were injured in baton charges. Proiest demonstrations were also held in Jerusalem and TelaViv. An additional 200 illegal immigrants landed in north Tel-a-Viv and hid in orange groves. They were arrested going to Jaffa.
