ONEHUNGA CRICKETERS.

At the Onehunga Cricket Association's prizegiving on Saturday, Mr. J. E. Green (president) congratulated the management committee on its zeal and efficiency in doubling the membership of the association. He said that no fewer than 73 championship matches and seven representative games were played by members of VJ. affiliated clubs, with a total of 180 registered players. He also accorded the association's thanks and appreciation of thei attention given to WAikaraka Park by the Onehunga Borough Council. the D.C.L. Championship Shield was presented to the captains of the Onehunga Rovers and Old Buffers teams, to be held by them jointly. The Onehunga Rovers' Club was also presented with the Lips-combe-Wilson Shield as winners ol the knock-out competition, while the Old Buffers' Club was handed the Percy Strong pennant for having won tbs consolation tontest. The president's bat was presented to C Williams for the best batting performance. He had an average of 96 and scored four centuries during the season.
