DOUBLE WIN , FOB ALOMA. —— i The Manukan Yacht Club and the Mannkau Cruising Club held final combined raeet at Onetaunga on Saturday in a fresh all started and finished off the end of the main wharf, and the yacht races were closely contested, the entries being a record for the Manukau harbour for manj 1 With a. few exceptions all of the yachts competed in the two clubs, the holding ol combined races, which has been general throughout the past ?eason, proving to bt an advantage to both clubs who are workin" in harmony for the good of the sport. *The results in each club were:— MAXUKAU YACHT CLUB. Yacht , * (general handicap).—Aloma 1, Early Bird 2. Mere 3. Z Class. —Valeta 1. Zippa 2. MAXUKAU CRUISIXG CLUB. Yachts. —Aloma 1, Early Bird 2, Valrosa o ' There was no race for launches in either club.
Convicted of S.P. betting on March 29. in .Sutherland Street. Paddinqrton. having been fined £20 on January 9 for a similar offence, Clifford Harper Russ. 25, packer, was sentenced to one month's imprisonment at Paddington Court on April 11.
