BERKELEY LOUNGE.
The Berkeley lounge at Mission Bay was thronged again on Saturday night despite the weather. Mr. and Mrs. Tappenden entertained a number of friends in honour of their daughter Velma's 10th birthday. Mrs. Tappenden, wearing a gown ;of scarlet georgette, received her guests in the'foyer. ■ Miss Velma Tappenden, : wore a' gown of white, satin,'cut on old world lines.
Among those present, were: Misses Joyce Potter, Shirley Wilson. Vivian Wilson. Virginia Dixon, Andre, Edwards, Clair Young and Masie Norris.
