HIGHER PROFIT AND DIVIDEND. Net profit of ftie Bank of Adelaide for the year ended March 27, was £71.120. the largest since 1930-1931. and £5332 more than that for .the previous year. A final dividend of 2% per cent makes the total yield for the year oVt per cent, compared with 5 per cent in 1937-1038. A sum of £20,000 has been written off bank premises. Deposits exceeded £7.000.000 at the balancing date, against £6,971,877 at the end of March. 1938. Advances, however, had declined from £6,075,864 to £5.950.855. Liquid aesete are shown at £3,252.260.
