MANY WANT JOBS IN N.Z,

Mr. J. Hodgens, M.P. for- Palmerston, returned in the Awateft.JP.-d.ay after selecting Australian tradesmen for work in Xew Zealand. He said-he met nearly 4000 tradesmen looking for work in the Dominion, but the majority were married men who would require homes on arrival. He expected that many of these men would come to New Zealand hi tor. • ■ .
Mr. Hodgens travelled 5000 miles in Australia and interviewed 3700 men. He received wonderful co-operation from Hie organisations concerned, and noticed 'hat a lively interest was shown in New Zealand's housing scheme.
