Piddington, K.C., who became the centre of many stormy arguments when Mr. Lang ' appointed him sole industrial commissioner about nine years ago, and who is one of the bestknown legal, figures in the State, at th< age of 76 appeared in the Supreme Court this week claiming damages foi injuries received when he wae knockec down by a motor cycle and sidecar ir April last year.
