BURGLAR SURPRISED.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) NEW PLYMOUTH, Monday. Apparently surprised by the unexpected arrival of the manager, a burglar wae unsuccessful in an attempt to blow open the safe in the grocery ehop of Mr. James McLean at Irtglewood. Fumes were noticed by the manager, Mr. S. Lovell, when he entered the store, but there was no sign of the intruder. A charge had been exploded in the keyhole of the safe.
