FARMER FOUND DEAD
BULLET WOUKD IN HEAP.

A farmer, Arthur William James Herbert (61), of Wimbledon, near Dannevirke, was found dead on his farm yesterday afternoon with a bullet wound in his bend. A pea-rifle was lying alongside the body. Mr. Herbert' had been in ill-health for some months and had suffered from insomnia. He left home about 10 a.m. to inspect some eheep and when he did not return for lunch a search party was organised.
