WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AHD PROVENCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton. Kawhia and Tauranca: — Light to moderate winds Between north-east and north-west, changing after about twenty-four hours to weM : or south-west. Weather fair to fine and mild, but later some scattered I light rain is possible. Slight to moderate seas. Pressure has fallen slightly over the Dominion, but is still high in the north. A series of shallow westerly depression* is crossing the south Tasman and South Island. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, calm; sea, smooth; weather, fine but hazy with scattered clouds; visibility, fair; barometer rising.
