WEATHER FORECAST.

FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the "Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— ' Light to moderate north to northwesterly winds, freshening somewhat. Weather mainly fair, but cloud increasing and some scattered rain probable. Temperatures mild. Seas slight to moderate. Pressure is still very high over northern New Zealand, but is falling rapidly in the south, and a depression is advancing across the Tasman. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, north-east, light; sea, smooth; weather, cloudy and hazy; visibility, fair; barometer, steady.
