£3000 IN MAJOR PRIZES.
BIG MOUNT ALBERT SUCCESS.

WELLINGTON, this day. Of the major prize money in the "Grand Sports" art union, drawn last night, Aucklanders will receive £3000. The first prize of £2000 went to a Mount Albert ticket-holder, and a half share of the second prize of £1000 belongs to Mies E. Bunce, of Auckland. The third prize, of £500, was won by a Grafton holder. Results are as follows: — First, £2000.—163314, "Lucky One," Mount Albert, Auckland. Second, £1000.—192903, "Fleabite," W. Dingwall, Gordon Avenue, Johnsonville. Third, £500.—136795, "Try Again," Grafton, Auckland. Fourth, £400.—<51510, "This Time," care A. Howat, Weld Street, Hokitika. Fifth, £300.—39394, "A Good Sport," Christchurch. \ Sixth, £a 00.—83076, "Hops," Takaka. Seventh, £100.—225796, "Rulette Orwere," E. D. Mahanga, Iwitea Bay, 06, Wairoa. Owing to the increase in the value of the major prizes on this occasion there are no £10 prizes as in previous art unions. The number of £5 prizes has also been reduced.
