Owing to an ffxeeptjoflally heavy Baiter demand and a falling supply, \vholeaale prices of hen eggs have risen sharply. New rates announced by Auckland Kgj? Marketing Committee, to "lake effect from to-day. eUow an advance of 3d ft dozen in all srrades of hen eggs and a riee of Id a dozen in v the corresponding gifi.les of duck eggs. Wholesale rates current from to-day are:—Hen: First grade, 2/6«4 a dozen; B grade, 1/H%; C grade, 1/4%, Duck: Fust grade, 2/2%; B grade, 3,:0%; C grade, 1/3%. Country storekeepers' minimum buyffcg prices for first-grade eggs are: Hen, A grade, 2/ a dozen; duck, A grade, 1/8%. . " '
