MOONLIGHT BEAUTY.
(By Yvonne Eranet, Box 24, Wellsford.) The golden lamp hung high, Up in the summer sky. The air was calm and still. O'er river, dale and hill. A wee elf with a wand, Transformed the lily pond, And made it like a pool, Of silver splendour cool. A silver veil was spread, O'er Nature's nodded head. "Beauty, her magic epell Had cast o'er wood and dell. But day must soon return, The lamp must cease to burn. The mist her white veil spread, And beauty's spell was dead.
