Mr. James S. Burt will leave for Wellington by the Limited express this evening.

Mr. F. Scott Miller will return to Wellington by this evening's Limited express.

Sir George King, a visitor from England, arrived from Rotorua yesterday afternoon.

Mr. W. W. Meek was a passenger for Wellington by the early express this afternoon.

Mr. C. R. Ford., who has been on a business visit to Wellington, returned by the Limited express this morning.

Dr. Frank Macky left for Wellington by air this morning to attend a meeting of the central council of the New Zealand branch of the B.M.A.

Mr. J. W. Bailey left this morning for Xapier to adjudicate in the elocutionary sections of the annual musical and elocutionary competitions.

Mr. F. R. Picot, Director of Internal Marketing, who has been on a brief vi*it to Auckland, returned to Wellington by the early express this afternoon. Mr. C. Bland, traffic superintendent for the Auckland City Council, left for Sydney and Melbourne in the Aorangi. He is to inspect traffic control systems. Mr. P. R. Angus, locomotive superintendent for the Railways Department, expects to travel to Wellington by train this evening after a brief visit to Auckland.

Messrs. H. W. Crawford and G. S. B. Morrison were again appointed at a meeting of the board this morning to represent the Auckland Education Board on the board of the Whangarei High School.

Captain D. P. Malcolm, harbourmaster at Calcutta, who has spent the first half of two years' furlough in Auckland, and who had hoped to remain for another year, has been recalled and will leave for Sydney in the Awatea on Tuesday. He will be accompanied by Mrs. Malcolm.
