SOCIAL AND DANCE. The reopening social for the 1939 season held by the Royal Society of St. George at Symondsville was a successful function. The new setting was greatly admired by the large gathering of members and friends, who were welcomed by the president. Mr. P. Heath-Preest. assisted by Mrs. P. Heath-Preest, the latter wearing a frock of ecru lace. The president stressed the need to foster and develop the true spirit and ideals of the society. The arrangements, for the evening were in the hands of Mr. C. A. Hankins and Captain FT. Kasper. Dancinpr and games were inters|iersed with an enjoyable musical programme arranged by Air. 0. ('. Mason. Items were contributed by Miss L. Skinner (comet solos). Mrs. Audrey Walker and Air. J. Tollemache (songs). Mrs. H. McCarty was the accompanist.
