HAWKB'S BAY WINS THE COP. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) FEILDING, Wednesday. The Savile Cup Raines at the New Zealand polo tournament at Feilding concluded this* afternoon, with no doubt existing as to the team entitled to hold the championship Hawke's Bay decisively beating Uangitikei by seven goale to two. j The game was fast from start to finish, with Rangitikel for the most part setting the pace. In these tactics the Rangitikei players erred, for the experience and skill of the Hawke's Bay men invariably caught them out of position. The vigour of the younger Rangitlkei playere held to the end, but against the trock-like defence of the veteran, F. McKenzie, their attacks broke down They failed, also, to avail themselves of opportunities presented them, owing to inaccurate goal-hitting. This was in striking contrast to the Hawke s Bay men, particularly J. MeKcnzie, who played a great game. Within two minutes of starting, Hawke's Bay coaled, and. in spit.- of two i>rnnlty hits at goal later, Hangitikei was uniiblo to open its account. Two more goals were added by Hawke'n Bay in the next, chukka. It McKenzie shooting both. Kaugitikei scored at the opening of the third chukka, but play was hardly in progress again when Hawke's Hay found an opening in t lie defence ami s< "rod twice in succession, adding its sixth goal just at the of the chukka. Thi> second goal to Rangitikei came In the fourth chukka after fast play, which was repeated in the fifth chukka, the pace being at the gallop all through. At the end of the chukka the scores were unchanged. The sixth v?a« also- scoreless, but the final one saw Hawke's Bay add its seventh goal. Following exiting play in the handicap cup match, Hawke's Bay B (1:2) beat Cain>bridge (1) by 14 goals to 6.
