EDEN CLUB.
„ , At the annual general meeting of the Eden Rugby Football Club, Mr. R. E X Matthew's (president) was in the chair! The report and balance-sheet showed the club to be progressing and in a satisfactory position, and that nearly £50 was spent last year in sending teams away on trips. ■During thy evening the president presented Sir. R. m. Grierson, past president, with a life-member's badge. Among those present were the president of the Auckland Rugby Union (Mr. Harry Frost), the chairman (Mr. A. A. Baker) and secretarv (Mr T. \V. Maben). Both Sir. Frost and Mr Baker addressed the meeting. Officers elected :—Patron, Mr. A. H Anderson (Mayor of Mount Albert) ■ vice-' patrons. Messrs. W. T. Anderton (SI.P. for Eden) and E. H. Potter: president, Mr. R. E. X. Matthews: secretary-treasurer! Mr. A. Ritchie ; assistant secretarv. Sir. R Spratt; delegates to A.R.U., Slessrs. A Rit.-hie. N. Wallace and R. Spratt: delegate to J.M.8.. Sir. C. E. Addison; J.8.M.8., Mr R. Humphries: medical officers, Drs. Smaii and Dreadon: club captain, Mr. T. Blomfield ; deputy-club captain. Sir. .T. Training will commence on Wednesday for seventh grade and Thursday for all other grades.
