MR. A. RAE A LTFE MEMBER. Presiding at the annual meeting of the Auckland Rugby League Referees' Association at Carlaw Park, Mr. L. E. Bull welcomed Mr. D. Wilkie, representing the Control Board, and Mr. V. M. Simpson, ex-«eeretsry. now of Wellington. The repoft stated the season had been very successful, there beine many new members. Tribute to the standard of control of games was the absence of criticism. Complimentary reference was made to the appointment and grading committee (Messrs. R. H. Benson and A. Rae). to the official critic (Mr. A. Saunders). the examination committee (Mc*»rs. W. Renton and A. Saunders) »nd Mr. G. Kelly, first delegate to the schoolboys' management. J. Donovan won the Carey Cup for moot improved referee. Officers were elected as follows:—President. Mr. L. E. Bull: vice-president. Mr. (i. McCowatt; executive, Messm. R. Otto, M. Wetherill. .T. Hawkes: delegate*. Messrs. W. Mhichitm (Control Board). J. Short (junior management). O. Kellv (schools' committee) and L. E. Bull (N.Z.R.L. Referees' Association); official critic, Mr. A. Sannders , ; honorary secretary. Mr. T. E. Skinner: treasurer, Mr. A. E. Chapman; appointment board. Mr. P. Rogers: examination board. Menses. A. Rae and M. Renton: social committee. Messru. A. Sannder*. M. Wetherill and W. Mincham; auditor, Mr. P. Rogers.
