MARIST OLD BOYS.

At the annual meeting of the Marist Old Boys' Club, held at the A.K.L. board room, Mr. J. Saycgli presided over a large attendance. The chairman congratulated the club on Its success. He referred also to the importance of the coming season, with its opportunities for players io win places in the team for England.

Recalling that last year the seniors won the championship and the Thistle Cup for most points in the second round, the annual report stated that the team had a elose contest with Richmond Rovers in the knockout for the Roope Rooster. The services of a most prominent plajer was lost when the forward. J. Woods, was badly injured in the innteli with Kastern Suburbs of Sydney. J. Anderson. R. tSrotte and G. Midgcly toured Australia. After reference to the reserves, third, seventh grade and schoolboy teams and coaches, thanks were extended to Mr. and Mrs. (ilover, W. Cleary, E. McGinn. A. Baird. and S. M. Farrelly for generous practical support.. Officers were elected as follows:—Patron, his Lordship Bishop Liston : president, Mr. J. Sn.vegh : vice-presidents, same as last year, with power to add; lion, Mr. J. Kirwan : lion, treasurer. Mr. P. Fletcher: club captain. R. Haslam: schoolboys" delegate. Mr. E. Foster: auditors. Messrs. Hollyrnke and B. Cotterill: committee Messrs. J. Ball. P. Hughes. F. Wehberley, G. Copas and W. Maddlgan. It was decided to start training at Carlaw Park to-morrow.
