FROM A GOOD FAMILY.
A well-grown four-year-old gelding by Whirlwind from All Amber is being hacked about and will be put into work at Ellerslie at an early date. This novice comes from a good family, as his dam, All Amber, is by All Red from Amberine, who traces back to the Stepniak mare Neva, who produced that noted performer Danube.
FUTURE LOOKS BRIGHT.
Looking all the better for his racing at the Waikato meeting, Windcress should be an improved horse next time out. When first tried over hurdles in private Windcress showed promising jumping ability, and his second in the Frankton Hurdles last week was very encouraging. He is a fine type of hurdler, and as he possesses plenty of speed his future looks bright
