IRISHMEN CHARGED.
Sequel To Recent Outrages
In England.
POSSESSING EXPLOSIVES.

LONDON, February 20.
James Connolly, 23, Francis JlcGowan, 24, labourers, were charged at Bow Street with possessing explosives. They were remanded till Thursday.
The Court entrances and the public gallery were heavily guarded.
Police evidence showed that in addition to explosives they found 33 sheets of notepaper embossed with the Royal Arms.
The Belfast men, Thomas McGill, Robert McCann and Hugh McCluskey, were remanded for a week in custody at Birmingham under the Explosives Act, for possessing a home-made. bomb and a quantity of explosive material. They were described ae prominent memlure of the I.R.A.
Police evidence was that McCluskey said: "We must shut up because one of our fellows went to Australia. They got him there."

The text of the Eire Treason Bill provides the death penalty for treason ineide and outside the State, and imprisonment and fines for persons encouraging and harbouring traitorous persons.
