It would ! leave Sydney on March 31. arrive on April 3 and play matches on Easter Saturday, Monday and Wednesday. The offer of the visit was subject to cable confirmation, but negotiations appeared only to lack formal finality. Mr Campbell added that this special attraction would be enhanced because of interest in the selection of the New Zealand team for England. On the suggestion of the clubs officers' association, it was agreed that the opening of the senior competitions should take place on April 1. Annual meetings of senior clubs were reported to have been already arranged two for next week and three'the following woek. Consideration was given to the list of names to be inscribed on the honours' board, which will be a record of those who have given 25 years of continuous service to the code in Auckland. In last Thursday's issue of the Sydney Daily Telegraph" the following appeared in connection with the proposed visit to Auckland:— A Composite Team. Kay Stehr, Kaetern Suburbs and international forward, said last night that lie would seek permission from the New South Wales Rugby League to take a composite team to Auckland. "I had been in touch with Auckland earlier," lie said last night, "but dropped the idea when Balmain decided to make the trip. "NW that liae fallen through I will go ahead again. I could muster an excellent team, made up mainly of Eastern 'Suburbs and Balmain players. The trip, made just before the start of the season, would create interest here and would give the New Zealand season a good start." There eeeins no reason why the League should not permit Stehr to take a team, providing it is adequately organised.
