TRAINING CANADIANS.

INSTRUCTION IN BRITAIN.

LONDON, (Ontario.)

Fifty skilled Canadian aircraft workers will cross the Atlantic within the next few weeks for technical train•ng in the construction of Royal Air Force bombers.

Supervising their course will be Lewis Ord, pronto-born engineer, who holds the post of production director of Britain's air armament programme. Under first contracts signed last autumn, the Canadian aircraft industry is to build 100 heavy bombers of the Handley Page "Hampden" type. Produced in separate factories, "the ships will be assembled in central assembly plants at Toronto and Montreal.

Early in the new year Ord will give up his Air Ministry post to take over the general managership of Canadian Associated Aircraft, Ltd. This is the company formed by Canadian manufacturers to deal with the British Government.

Declaring, "the potentialities of Canadian labour are unbounded," Ord expressed confidence Canada will prove an efficient source of 'planes for Britain. J
