AUCKLAND CENTRE MEETING.
J. F. ARCHER TWICE VICTORIOUS
'Last evening the Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Amateur Cycling Association held four races, with the following results:—
A Grade Half-mile.—J. p. Archer, 20yds. 1; E. L. G. Hughes. 20yds. 2; C. R Gooder, scr, 3. Three riders finished practically abreast. Time, 59 3-5s Ten Miles Paced A Grade.—,T. F. Archer (Papatoetoe) 1; J. H. GUlbanks (Manu-ta-K E - <*. Hughes (I.ynndale). 3. A thrilling finish. Archer winning by a length. Time, 22.14 2-5
B Grade Half-mile.—J. White, 10yds. 1 ■ , H - 25yds, 2; M. Harland, 10yds. 3. Time, 1.4 4-5. B Grade Two Miles.—G. R. Purdom. scr, J: E. R- Johnson, 30yds, 2; J. White 30yds, 3. Won by clear length. Time' 4.41 3-5.
o T * Gamble. H. R. Baldwin and C. R. Gooder left to-day for Wanganui, where they 11 compete to-morrow evening. Gamble and Baldwin will continue to Dunedin to take jjart in the New Zealand cba mplonah ps along with R. T. Taylor and J. H. GUlbanks.
