WEATHER FORECAST.
FOR CITY AND PROVINCE. The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special weather forecast for the Auckland province to a* far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to fresh and variable winde, becoming south-westerly to-morrow. Weather mostly fair, but with some scattered showers or morning fogs in places. Temperatures mild. Seas moderate on the west coast, slight on the east coast. A trough of relatively low pi assure extends from the Tasman Sea across the northern part of the South Island. Both to the north-east and over southeastern Australia pressure Is high. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hauraki Gulf waa received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south, moderate; sea, smooth; weather, cloudy and dull; visibility, moderate; barometer, steady.
