CAR TURNED OVER.
PASSENGER DIES LATER,

PALMERSTON NORTH, Friday. As a result of injuries suffered when a car in which he was a passenger was involved in an accident near Hiniatangi to-day, Mr. George Scales, aged 22, of Palmerston North, died in hospital.
Mr. Scales was in a car driven by Mr. R. M. McKenzie, the All Black vice-captain, which turned over several times. Mr. McKenzie was not injured, but the other passengers. Mr. C. Penson, Miss J: Hancock and Mr. P. Stevens, suffered slight injuries.
