SYDNEY-BOUND. THE CUTTER WAYFARER. FOUR' MONTHS' TRIP PLANNED. Auckland — Norfolk Island — Lord Hove Island—Sydney. That is tile route planned by five young Auckland men, crew of the 3iift cutter Wayfarer, which left Auckland yesterday on the first leg of the trip. They will sail back the same way, and expect to be away for four months. Joint owners of the cutter are Messrs. K. and G. Reid, of Otaliuhu, and they have with them Messrs. Douglas Rush, and Don Hardy, of Auckland, and Bernard Black, of Napier. Before the yacht left late yesterday afternoon the skipper and navigator, Mr. Keith Reid, said it was purely a pleasure trip. The yacht would call at Russell on the way up the coast. He expects to reach Norfolk Island in about 10 days. One of the main reasons for the trip is that the Trans-Tasnian Cup race had to be abandoned owing to lack of entries. Wayfarer was the only entrant. TENDERS.
