It was again a quiet morning on the Stock Exchange, only 300 shares changing hands. The only Miles were of New Zealand Breweries at the unchanged price of 40/ and -Mount Lyclls, which at 27/4 were j fractionally easier than when they had I their last eale a week ago. 1 A feature of the quotations was the , easing in prices ottered for Government ; stocks. Since the beginning of the year buyers have gradually raised their limits until for some tseucs tbey wore offering only a little below par. Commercials of Australia lost a 1 point to be quoted at from 15/0 to 15/11, I while preferences were down fxl. with I buyers at £9 12/.
