MR. WILLIAM BRIDGFORD.
HAS SPENT ALL LTFE IX PROVINCE.
Mnety years of life in the Auckland dwtriet have been completed by Mr. William Bridgford, of Hol>»onville, who celebrated his 90th birthdav to-day. Mr. Bridgford was born a few yea re after his parents landed at Howk-k Beach from the mailing veeael George Seymour, following a long voyage from Britain, and he has lived here ever since. Mr. BridgfordV father took an active part in the Maori wars, and wae, with hi* wife, among the pioneer settler* of Howifk. After living in Ponsonby ae a young; man, Mr. Bridgford began farming in the Hobeonville district, where •he now Uvea in retirement. Sixtyseven years ago he married Mi«A Sarah Jane Wallace, of Dnnedin. and hie wife and five children are still living.
