Head) who ie not without prospects in the two miles trot on Saturday, also did well, under restraint, in completing a mile and a half in 3.57. Chaise (C. M. Morrison) led Blue Crest (L. Laver) over a mile and a half in 4.2. It took them 2.51 to run the first mile. Ringstone (Fleming) got to the end of a mile and a quarter in 3.12 (the last half-mile in 1.15) and Fernbrook Lass (L. Laver) was sent over two miles at a 4.40 gait. Others to do useful tasks were Pukemiro (W. Fleming). Star Pronto (B. Dyer). Cyrane (S. M. August), Top Hand (S. M. August), the two-year-old Highland Scot, and Vanora (L. J. Mahoney).
