The Government Meteorologist issued to the " Auckland Star" this afternoon the following special forecast for the Auckland province to as far south as Hamilton, Kawhia and Tauranga:— Light to moderate south-west winds, veering to west and northwest. Weather fair to fine. Temperatures moderate. Seas slight to moderate. An anti-cyclone is still centred over northern New Zealand and pressure is rising again, also in the south, but a slight disturbance lies across the I norihern portion of the South Island. HAURAKI GULF CONDITIONS. The following report of weather conditions in the Hatiraki Gulf was received from Tiritiri Island at noon to-day:— Wind, south-west, moderate; sea, smooth; weather, fine and clear; visibility, good; barometer, steady.
