Labour rnemlier-t of the House, were pom ing In for a caucus meeting, and a *t,.a1l team of them jocularly decided that the. perambulator and its contents was tlio temporary icsponsibility of Mr. Armstrong. As thn pram for the twins was too wide to bo taken in the lift, it had to l)n gently curried up two long flight* of stall'*, The infants were obviously well cured for and were prettily dressed. This novel exhibit In the Minister's office attracted much' attention from infMtihcre of his party. It Was suggested to Mr. C. H. Chapman, the member for Wellington North, that as the mother was his constituent hn might take charge, but he htirrled into the caucus meeting) leaving* to fche Minister's staff the tnsk of arranging with the proper authorities for the return of the twins to their homo. Mr. Armstrong stated that the incident was a serious abuse of tlie prlvllego he had hitherto readily granted of interviewing housing applicants. The number he personally had seen in his office during January was ;».->(>, while correspondence was so heavy that last Monday n.'jO letters relating to house applications had paesed in and out of his office.
