BENDING HER SAILS.

BARQUE BEING PREPARED. LEAVES PORT SATURDAY. CRUISE SHIP DUE FRIDAY. Cadets in the Xorth German Lloyd auxiliary barque Eommodore Johnsen were bueily engaged this morning bending sails on the yards of the foremast preparatory to the ship leaving port. To-morrow morning the veeael will be moved to another berth at the King's wharf in order to have more cranes working her ballast. It is expected that ehe will go to an anchorage in the etream some time on Friday morning and. Iβ expected to 6ail for South Australia on Saturday to load wheat for Europe. Laden with phosphate from Nauru, the Bank Line eteanier Forresbank ie expected to arrive at Auckland late on Saturday or early on Sunday. The departure of the Trienca for Nauru has been postponed till Friday. On hes first visit to New Zealand, the new P. and O. liner Stratheden hae advised that ehe will arrive at.Auckland about noon on Friday with 67 passengers for Xew Zealand, 63 round-trip tourists, and 850 other tourist*. Her departure for Wellington hae been fixed ror 11 p.m. on Saturday. The New Zealand Shipping Company announce, that the Rimntaka will be dispatched from Auckland to London via Panama Canal at noon on Saturday.

H.M.S. Leith, Imperial escort vessel, has left Lyttelton and is due at Auckland on Friday. She left the naval base on January c'and visited Timaru. Bluff.. West Coast sounds and Lyttelton. Arrangement* have been made for her to leave for Russell on February 17. and she will remain at the naval base till that date. fI.M.S. Wellington will leave Ruesell in company with H.M-S. Leith on February 19 for Sydney. Napier Star has been delayed in her departure for London on account of having to ship a large consignment of wool from the South. Some of it will be carried on deck, a special permit having been obtained from the Marine Department. She will be a full ship and is expected to sail late to-night or early to-morrow morning. Pierre L.D., a French eteamer from Ghent with basic slag, ie expected in port at S p.m. to-day. She will take the berth at the Central wharf occupied by the Port Saint John when the latter vessel sails for Xew York, Boston, Halifax and St. John. City of Dieppe* of the A. and A. Line, ha« advised by wireless that ahe expects to arrive at Anckland from New York at 4 a.m. on Friday. Haimoa was berthed yesterday afternoon at the Queen'e wharf and commenced loading. Her departure for London and West Coast porta has teen fixed for Monday. Celtic Monarch, of 5374 tone gross, left Sourabaya on January 29 for Auckland. She ie due about February 18, and has raw sugar for Chelsea.
