SALE AT PARNELL. ALL HIDES FIRM. There wae a full bench of buyers representing exporter)), local tanners and fellmongers at the fortnighty sale of hides and skins held in the Parnell stores yesterday. For hides both tanners and exporters operated freely and ox hides were firm at late rates, while cow hides sold from l-8d to %d higher. Yearlings and calf skins were slightly easier. Sheep skins were firm, but the tallow market was very weak. Quotations: — Sheep Skins.—Lambs, woolly, 1/5 to 2/8 each; lambs, shorn, to 8d: pelts, 1/2 to 1/8. Hides (abattoirs). —Ox, extra heavy, to 6%d per lb; heavy, to 6%d; medium, 6d to 6%d; light, to 5%d: cow, extra heavy, to 5%d; heavy, to 5%d; medium, to 5%d; light, to 5%d; kips, 5%d to 6ttd; yearling, to 7%d calf. 9d to 9%d. Country Butchers and Farmers.—Ox, extra heavy, to 6d per lb; heavy, to 6d; medium, 5d to 5%d; light, to 4%d; cow, extra heavy, to 5%d; heavy, to 5%d; medium, to 5%d; light, to sd; seconds, cut, to 4Kd: seconds. damaged, 2Hd to 4d: kips. 5%d to 5%d; yearlings, to 6%; best calf, 9d to 9%d; good, B%d to 9d; inferior and damaged, 2%d to 6%d.
