THE SUMMER MEETING. FIELDS FOR TO-MORROW. A REVIEW OF THE FORM. A good deal of interest will centre in the Egmont Racing Club's summer meeting, which opens at Haweva to-morrow, in view of the Woodville and Wangunui fixtures, which follow. There are eight in the Ohawc Hurdles. Red Sun, the top-weight, was second at Upunake and should l>e improved, while Donegal was recently plated in a Hat event at Aahhuret. Air am raced consistently over hurdles at New Plymouth, Strutford and Thames, and ie not without prospects. Ohtinga beat Red Sun at Opunake, while Booklaw wa« third. Liuly Ina, utter her second, a win and ii third at the recent Wellington summer meeting, will have plenty of Huppurt for the Flying Handicap. Amigo, who is also fiiKHged in the Cup, is reported to be none the worse for hie escapade over three miles at Waiiganui last week. Kacecall aas a win and several placing* this season <«nd iH not without pronpect». Tuitoru was third to Airing and Lifeguard at Opunake un Saturday and should improve. Fiancee won well at Optmnke last Saturday, and the filly should again take some heading off in tne Trial Handicap, tor the claae is not strong and ehe in pretty smart. Tidal Gift was third in the Trial Handicap, six furlongs, at the Manawatu summer meeting, while Highball occupied a similar position in a seven-furlong event at New Plymouth at Christmas time. Le Marquis has shown promise and Darthura and Sang Bleu may be the beet of the other*. The public will probably go for: Fiancee, Tidal Gift and Le Marquis. TIM CUM Kvwit. Wotan, who is at the head of the Egmont Cup, ha* no recent form, and Brazen King appeals much more. Dungarvan was third in two mile event* at Trenthnm last month, while Aussie Ka was third in the Opunake Cup last Saturday. Lady Furst won over a mile and a quarter and also six furlongs at the Napier Park meeting in November and should be in the picture. Ned Cuttle has no recent form, but Homily, after her two thirds over a mile and a quarter at Ellerslie at Christina* time, is not without prospects. Lickem won the Stratford Cup in good style at the New Year, while Winsome Lu showed a return <to her best form-by annexing the Opunake Cup last Saturday. Dainty Sue, who scored over nine fnrlongs at Stratford, hue aleo to be considered. Namara was twice successful at the Taranaki nesting at Christmas time and now heads the field for the Tokaora Handicap. The Lackham colt promises to go well again. Tβ Hnia is a useful sort, but may be better ratted by the distance of the Waipapa Handicap, in which he is also engaged. Professional was a winner over eight furlongs and a half at Opunake last week, while Ramleh won and was placed over the distance at New Plymouth at Christmas time. Judgment is engaged in the previous event, and Miachel was successful at Opunake last Saturday over six furlongs and a half. Amoroso was second at Opunake last Saturday. Daisy Chain and Silver Gift may also go well.
