REGATTA PROTESTS.
SEVERAL TO BE CONSIDERED. NGA-TOA MOANA COLLISION. With over 200 boats of varying size competing in 20 sailing events at the Anniversary regatta, it is only, to be expected that a few breaches of the sailing rules would occur. Five protests have been lodged and they will be considered by the sailing committee on Monday evening. Two protests are for supposed rounding of the wrong mark and two refer to alleged carrying an extra man in the crew. The only serious one refers to a collision between the first-class yachte, Moana and Nga-Toa, off Stanley Bay, when Nga-Toa was dism-.sted and Moana broke her crosstrees.
