RADIO AMATEURS MEET.

That members did not consider it to be in the best interests of amateur radio to have members reporting on breaches of regulations was the opinion reached at a meeting of the Auckland branch of the New Zealand Association of Radio Transmitters (Inc.), when a letter was received from headquarters asking the branch to nominate members willing to serve on a vigilance committee. It was decided to do nothing in the matter. The vice-president, Mr. P. P. Gordon, presided over the meeting, which was attended by 21 members.

The question of a broadcast by a Government station in which it was stated that an amateur was causing interference, was brought up. It was decided to write to the station director, asking him to rescind the statement made, as no proof of the trouble being caused, by an amateur was available.
