FIRST ARRIVALS.
SIR J. CAHN'S TEAM. GAME AT THE DOMAIN. N.S.W. PLATERS TO MEET COLTS AND COLLEGE XI. Owing to the late arrival of the Rangitiki from London with the main party of players in Sir Julien Cahn's cricket team, the match to have been played Park next Saturday against an eleven comprised of Mr. H. C. Watson's colts and secondary schools' representatives, has been postponed until Monday. Meantime the four New South Wales members of the English side, who have been visiting their homes in Sydney, arrived by the Mariposa yesterday and are to take the field to-morrow with the Tc Awa Club team, captained by Harold Watts. Their opponents will be drawn from 14 selected by Messrs. C. Bennett, W. Caradus and James Thompson. No doubt all these players will be given a trial to-morrow, as it is from the panel that the eleven to meet Sir Julien Cahn's side on Monday will be chosen. Their names arc: — Old Boys. —Gordon Burgess, captain (Mount Albert), K. S. Arkinstall (Auckland Grammar), C. P. Lund, A. N. Thompson and A. Wiles (Seddon Memorial Technical College). Present Students. —E. C. Andrews (Rotorua High School), W. M. Smeeton and Stan Matthews (Auckland Grammar School), K. Beale (King's College), B. Sutcliffe (Takapuna), D. Pike (Seddon Memorial Technical College), N. M. Sherer. H. J. H. Irvine and K. H. Hemus (Mount Albert Grammar). The side choßen to play for Te Awa •gainst the young players is:—J. G. Lush, J. E. Walsh, V. E. Jackson, H. Mudge (New South Wales), H. E. and Eric Watts, G. Hutter, S. C. Hay, P. Maxwell, J. O'Sliea, E. Adnam. The practice match is timed to start at the Domain to-morrow at two o'clock. Lush and Jackson are the guests of Mr. Stuart Hay. while Walsh and Mudge are staying with Mr. W. H. Bond.
