HOTEL WORKERS.
, ALLOWANCE FOR MEALS. COURT TO DECIDE ISSUE. Advice has been received by the secretary of the Auckland Hotel Workers' Union, Mr. F. O. Young, that the Arbitration Court han made a fixture for February 15 for the hearing of the one outstanding question in the recent award agreed to for licensed hotel workers. The question concerns the workers' propositi that they should have the right to elect not to have their meals 011 the employers' premises on their two days' off and should receive a cash payment of 3/ a day in lieu of meals. Apart from this issue a complete agreement was reached by the parties in conciliation, and it was agreed that the subject should be referred to the Court for settlement.
