UNUSUAL FATALITY.
ELDERLY FARMER'S FATE. THROWN DOWN BY DOOR. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. Fatal injuries were suffered by Mr. Walter Wright, aged 67, a farmer, of Springston, 17 miles from Christchurch, when he was opening the door of a granary on his farm. Mr. Wright was standing on an elevated platform on l the building and had partly opened a sliding door which became unfastened from its rollers. He was thrown to the ground by the weight of the door, and a bolt projecting from it entered his head. The injured man was found by his son a few minutes afterwards. He was taken to hospital, where he died this evening.
