PRICES OF METALS. LONDON, February 6. Following are to-day's quotations on ■the London metal market, compared with those on February 2:—
SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, February 6. At the Sydney wool sales 10,932 bales were offered and 10,254 were sold, as well as 404 privately. The improvement in the market reported on Thursday was fully maintained. In the case of all well-grown wools, prices ruled from par to 5 per cent higher, with come-backs and crossbreds sharing the improvement, and meeting a particularly strong demand, especially from Japan. Competition wag well distributed. Greasy Merino made to 18d per lb. The average price of wool last week was £12 16/8 a bale and 10.5 d per lb.
