There are some things it is always wise to buy, such, for instance, as really good lingerie that is only reduced in price because it is slightly shop-soiled. A 'visit to the laundry, or probably to the home washtub, and the lingerie emerges as good as new. The biggest bargains arc generally obtained at the best shops, and if you are stock-size von can usually find very nicely-cut suits and beautifully made dresses much marked down; but beware of buying anything that is extremely fashionable or extravagant in stvle. and consequently will be soon dated. (iood shoes and stockings are always worth buying, and if you have a verv small foot you can sometimes find odd pairs at ridiculously cheap prices.
