BIG SHARK CAUGHT.
Measuring almost Oft in length and weighing over 3t>olb, a grey nurse shark was caught by a party of four men fishing in a loft dinghy at the mouth t pf the Tamaki River on Saturday afternoon. It was captured 011 a swordfish hook, after first being sighted when it took one of the snapj>er liners.
The shark put up a good fight and it was three-quarters of an hour before it was brought into the boat. A number of small sharks have been caught in the vicinity during the past few weeks.
