RECORD ATTEMPTS TO-NIGHT. LINDSKOG OR REYNOLLDS? Witli only two more nights of speedway racing at. the Western Springs Stadium .before the overseas drivel's go oil their southern tour, competition is reaching a high point. Each of the drivers is endeavouring to .beat the others, with the added inducement of gaining interest in , the south. This evening one of the most exciting events yet .put oh at the stadium will be contested. Swede Liudskog, of the United States, will make an attempt on the four-lap record at the stadium, and there is every indication that it will be shattered.' He has made a number of ad-» justmeuts to his midget car to increase its efficiency on this track, and is confident that he will be successful. But that is only the start. He will be not only driving against the record, but also against the competition of Bill Reynolds, of _ England, one of * the most sensational drivers yet to 'be seen here. Reynolds, too. is after that record, and thq cinders will fly as both men strive for the mastery. In addition to this attraction there will be an exciting clash between the major drivers of Australia and New Zealand. This will come about in the international four-car match race, Australia v. New Zealand. The New Zealand drivers have been rapidly improving in technique this year, and they have their cars at a high pitch of efficiency. Their meeting with the Australians should be one of the outstanding events of the night. There is thrill also in the six motor cycle broadcasting events, and huniour in the American novelty events with midgets.
