STRUCK BY SLING.
WATERSIDER INJURED,
* i DIES LATER IN HOSPITAL. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) NAPIER, Friday. Knocked ' from a railway truck during the discharging of a vessel at the breakwater last evening about S .o'clock, Mr. William John Culley, an elderly watersider, died one hour and a half later in hospital. He had severe head injuries. Salt was being discharged in elings from the Kauri. Mr. Culley was struck by a sling and thrown from one truck on to another truck and then on to the wharf.
